The Studio Deluxe suits one or two people staying anywhere from a night to a month who want a calm, well-finished room with a kitchenette and a desk, and who would rather put the difference in rate towards the length of the stay.
Who the Studio Deluxe is for
Solo travellers and couples, overwhelmingly. It is the apartment a consultant takes for a three-week project, a returning guest takes for a long weekend, and a relocating employee takes for the month it takes to find a house.
From 32 m² it is a studio rather than a one-bedroom: the bed, the writing nook and the kitchenette share one well-proportioned room, with the bathroom separate. That layout is the whole argument. It is quieter to heat, quicker to keep tidy, and at $105 a night it leaves room in a budget that a larger apartment would not.
It is not the right apartment for two people who both work from the room at the same time, for a family, or for anyone who wants to entertain. The 1BHK Suite solves the first of those; the 2BHK Suite solves the rest.
What is actually in the room
A queen bed with premium linen, toppers and a bed cover. A writing nook with fibre-optic mesh Wi-Fi — the same symmetric connection as the rest of the building, not a weaker signal because the room is smaller. A kitchenette with a microwave, refrigerator and a tea and coffee station. A 55-inch QLED smart TV. A balcony that catches the lake breeze.
The bathroom is ensuite with a walk-in shower. Housekeeping comes daily. Laundry and ironing are a service rather than a machine in the room — you hand it over in the morning and it comes back the same day, which over three weeks is worth more than a washing machine you would have to operate yourself.

What a week actually costs
At $105 a night, seven nights carries a 10 to 20 per cent discount, so a week lands below seven times the headline rate. Breakfast is included and served in the restaurant on the ground floor, which removes a meal a day from the budget entirely.
The kitchenette handles breakfast extras, lunches and the occasional dinner; the restaurant downstairs handles the rest at Kampala prices rather than resort prices. A supermarket shop for one for a week runs roughly 150,000 to 250,000 shillings. Set that against seven restaurant dinners and the kitchenette has paid for itself several times over.
Monthly rates are quoted on request and sit well below the nightly rate multiplied out. If the stay is longer than about three weeks, ask for the monthly figure before you book by the night.
Living in it
The rhythm most guests settle into: breakfast downstairs between seven and half past ten, work at the desk or a drive into the city against the traffic, back in the late afternoon, dinner either cooked in the kitchenette or ordered from the restaurant to the apartment.
Kigo is residential and quiet, which is the point of being out here rather than in the middle of Kampala. There is a wellness spa nearby and the championship golf course is about five minutes away, both arranged through the concierge. The lake is close enough to walk to.
For anything beyond the property — the city, the airport, dinner elsewhere — the concierge arranges a driver by the hour or the day. Most guests in a studio never hire a car.
Studio Deluxe — questions
- How big is the Studio Deluxe?
- From 32 m², laid out as a single open room with the queen bed, writing nook and kitchenette together, and a separate ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower. There is a balcony.
- Does the Studio Deluxe have a kitchen?
- It has a kitchenette with a microwave, refrigerator and a tea and coffee station — enough for breakfast extras, lunches and simple dinners. For a full kitchen with a cooker, the 2BHK Suite and the 3BHK Penthouse are the ones to look at.
- How many people does the Studio Deluxe sleep?
- Two, in one queen bed. It is sized for one or two people; a third guest or a family is better served by the 1BHK Suite or the 2BHK Suite.
- How much is the Studio Deluxe per night?
- From $105 a night, bed and breakfast. Stays of seven nights or more carry a 10 to 20 per cent discount, and monthly rates are quoted on request.
- Is the Studio Deluxe suitable for working from?
- Yes, for one person. There is a writing nook with fibre-optic mesh Wi-Fi at the same symmetric speeds as the rest of the building. Two people both running calls from the same room at once is where a studio starts to strain — the 1BHK Suite separates the bedroom from the living space for exactly that reason.
